Harris Corporation Builds End-to-End, File-Based HD News Production Facility at Nine Network Australia

(Sydney, Australia–April 15, 2010) Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has implemented the first phase of the buildout of an end-to-end, file-based high-definition (HD) news production and playout center at Nine Network’s facilities here. Nine Network plans to roll out the Harris integrated news solution across three other sites including Canberra, Brisbane and Melbourne before the end of 2010 as part of a multi-million dollar refurbishment program to replace an aging, tape-based news system.
